Alma, June 10th 2013 – The Unmanned Aerial System Center of Excellence (UAS CE) authorities are very pleased to welcome the American company Flyterra as new private member. Flyterra is becoming a key partner in providing precise high resolution imagery for applications such as open sky quarries mapping.
Located in New York, Flyterra is an American company working on becoming a major service provider in UAV operations and services, providing suitable solutions for clients in mining, natural gas, oil and agricultural fields. The main goal is to kick off a micro-drone operation in Quebec and Ontario. The president of Flyterra, Vivien Hériard Dubreuil comments: “We are very proud of the partnership we have created; UAS CE is offering many business opportunities in Quebec and Canada, which were hard to achieve until now».
Municipal counsellor of the city of Alma, president of the Alma airport and president of the Unmanned Aerial System Center of Excellence, Pascal Pilote is very happy with this new membership: « We are very pleased to welcome a partner such as Flyterra. This partnership will contribute to reach our goal to develop a national expertise and innovation center as well as diversify the services we can offer».
The UAS CE is continually growing, now counting close to twenty members. The Center has recently created partnerships with international organizations, including the state of Oklahoma in the United-States and Bordeaux Technowest in France, which is the largest French technology park dedicated to aeronautics. The UAS CE authorities will be attending the 50th International Aerospace Exhibit in Paris next week, where the Bordeaux association will be further solidify and expanded.
